Support Group for Male Survivors of Childhood and/or Adult Sexual Assault

A supportive and confidential environment for men to reduce the feeling of isolation to discuss and learn about a variety of topics such as dealing with the past, family, relationships, ways of coping and looking after ourselves.

Adult Therapeutic Groups are held by Centres Against Sexual Assault at regular intervals throughout the year. The group setting is generally best suited to victim/survivors who have participated in individual counselling and are seeking an opportunity to take the next step in their recovery. Adult Therapeutic Support Groups are supported with experienced facilitation.

Most groups are free of charge.

Victims No Longer - Weekend Workshop Retreat

An annual weekend retreat for male survivors of sexual assault facilitated by Mike Lew, therapist and the author of 'Victims No Longer, The Classic Guide for Men Recovering from Sexual Child Abuse'. These weekends commence Friday evening, and conclude after lunch on Sunday and are held in a rural location. The weekend workshop is for non-offending male survivors of sexual abuse and rape. It provides a variety of healing activities, sharing of stories, writing exercises, anger work, group discussions, shared creativity, relaxation and even fun in a safe, nurturing environment. The event is for men who are actively engaged in recovery work. It is not a substitute for therapy/counselling.
